It was a good book to get me out of reading slump and the perfect book to read on a rainy day. This book isn’t heavy, it’s not one that you really have to think about. The whole thing was just sweet and light. The squirrel was so adorable, I loved him. It makes me kind of second guess siting on a bench now. Also, there is some diversity in the characters in this book. All of the characters were so different, and it was fun to watch them ship Lea and Gabe. It was such a refreshing way for a romance novel to be written. At first I was a little iffy about this, but as soon as I started reading it I was hooked. There are 14 different point of views in this book and none of them are the main characters. Surely Gabe and Lea will figure out that they are meant to be together….Īll the POVs. Even the squirrel who lives on the college green believes in their relationship. The waitress at the diner automatically seats them together. Their bus driver tells his wife about them.

The baristas at Starbucks watch their relationship like a TV show. Their creative writing teacher pushes them together. But somehow even when nothing is going on, something is happening between them, and everyone can see it. Unfortunately, Lea is reserved, Gabe has issues, and despite their initial mutual crush, it looks like they are never going to work things out. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. The creative writing teacher, the delivery guy, the local Starbucks baristas, his best friend, her roommate, and the squirrel in the park all have one thing in common-they believe that Gabe and Lea should get together. Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. I finally picked it up this month and I’m so glad I did. I found out about this book over on The Calico Books last year (you can check out her review here) and have been meaning to read it ever since.
